Our Process
From Wire to Finished Frame
Every frame begins as raw wire and ends as precision eyewear — shaped, soldered, plated, and inspected by hands that have mastered decades of optical manufacturing.
Step 01 · Wire Forming
Precision
Frame Bending
Premium stainless steel or titanium wire is fed through calibrated bending machines that curve each rim to exact specifications. Tolerances are held within fractions of a millimetre, ensuring every frame sits symmetrically and comfortably on the face.
Step 02 · Edge Finishing
Rim Grinding
& Smoothing
Each formed rim is brought to a high-speed grinding wheel where a skilled craftsperson refines joints and surfaces. This step removes sharp burrs and creates the clean, polished profile that defines a quality frame before any coating is applied.
Step 03 · Assembly
Precision
Welding
Frame components — rims, nose bridge, endpieces — are fixtured in custom jigs and welded with focused heat. The bright spark of each weld fuses metal into a single, robust structure, eliminating weak points and ensuring lasting structural integrity.
Step 04 · Temple Setting
Temple Arm
Alignment
Multiple frames are loaded simultaneously into a multi-needle jig. Each temple arm is set at the precise angle specified by the design — guaranteeing consistent spread, comfortable fit angle, and identical geometry across every unit in the production batch.
Step 05 · Surface Treatment
Electroplating
& Coating
Assembled frames are racked onto a custom rotating barrel and submerged in precisely controlled electroplating baths. Successive layers — from base nickel to final gold or rhodium — build up a uniform, corrosion-resistant finish that remains vibrant for years of daily wear.
Step 06 · Fine Welding
Micro-Weld
Detailing
Hinges, pads, and decorative elements are micro-welded onto the frame body using custom jigs that prevent heat distortion. Each joint is inspected immediately after welding, ensuring invisible seams and mechanical strength that endures thousands of open-and-close cycles.
Step 07 · Quality Control
Magnified
Inspection
Every frame is examined under a large-diameter magnifying loupe by our quality team. Surface finish, plating uniformity, weld integrity, and dimensional accuracy are each assessed against strict acceptance criteria — any deviation is corrected before the frame advances.
Step 08 · Final Approval
Final Frame
Sign-Off
The completed frame undergoes a final holistic review — symmetry, temple spread, nose bridge alignment, and cosmetic finish are cross-checked against the master sample. Only frames that pass every criterion earn the Gajjar Group mark of approval and proceed to packaging.
